KIHOUSHI, paper that ‘packages feelings,’ was developed under the direction of package designer Aoshi Kudo (b. 1964).
This series of packaging papers allows you to fully enjoy the rich feel of paper while fulfilling the fundamental roles of providing protection, transportation, and communication.
Two colors are available—neutral black, and white paper that provides a surface with a high level of whiteness while being manufactured without fluorescent dyes.
KIHOUSHI papers are FSC-certified with a high softwood content that provides strength, and special surface coatings that enhance folding performance.
They offer versatility, allowing a diverse range of applications in addition to packaging, such as for covers of softcover books and cards.

Process: UV offset 1c (silver) + foil stamping (transparent foil) + debossing

Process: offset (4 match colors + black) + matt varnish

KIHOUSHI series characteristics

Three white KIHOUSHI papers are available—the uncoated KIHOUSHI U-FS, which provides a choice of textures, KIHOUSHI C-FS, which provides stain and scratch resistance, and KIHOUSHI GL-FS, which is coated on both sides and is excellent for printing vivid colors.
Two black KIHOUSHI papers are also available—the uncoated KURO KIHOUSHI U-FS, and KURO KIHOUSHI C-FS, which is coated on both sides.
