Fine Flute is packaging material that provides the functionality of regular packaging material as well as rich color and beauty.
Its potential is expanding from packaging to the field of products for space design.
This exhibition presents objects by DRILL DESIGN as trial designs for walls and spaces.
After the official release in 2019, an "archive of three layers of colors" that includes over sixty different types was announced for order-made Fine Flute.
Previous uses of this material also allow visitors to get a feel for the diverse colors and distinctive forms of expression possible with corrugated cardboard.
Come and see the charm and appeal of Fine Flute and these new trial designs.
Design objects by DRILL DESIGN
- Layer tile / Grid tile: A colorful wall decoration panel created using B flute (approx. 3 mm).
- Layer cube / Grid cube: A colorful three-dimensional object created using B flute (approx. 3 mm).
- Layer screen: An air-permeable partition created using A flute (approx. 5 mm).
The design objects are made using two techniques―Fine Flute stacked in layers and grids of Fine Flute assembled in a latticework.

About Fine Flute
Fine Flute is material that provides the functionality of regular packaging material in combination with rich colors.
It was presented as a prototype at the takeo paper show 2018 "precision," and then developed and brought to market in 2019. Taking advantage of the visible fluted structure of corrugated cardboard to combine different colors in the three layerds provides greater potential for packaging.
