“DESIGNER × PROJECT” features designers working on serial projects. The fourth DESIGNER × PROJECT exhibition features the film-related graphic design of graphic designer Idea Oshima.
In addition to exhibiting about several movie posters and pamphlets, the show presents behind-the-scenes aspects of production, including specifications and rough drafts, such as Oshima’s choice of paper to match the type of movie and its medium and tricks he employs during design. The exhibition includes a wide range of projects by Oshima that each convey the appeal of a particular film.
Idea Oshima
Graphic designer. Works mainly on movie graphics, but also handles exhibition publicity materials, book design, and other projects. His major projects include the movies Paterson, Shoplifters, Midsommar, and Everything Everywhere All at Once, the exhibitions TANIKAWA Shuntaro and Moomin, and the book Shohako written by Yoko Ogawa and published by Asahi Shimbun Publications.
