The exhibition “Path of the TAKEO PAPER SHOW” that was held at MIHONCHO HONTEN in Tokyo in July and August of 2022 is coming to Yodoyabashi MIHONCHO.
This year’s TAKEO PAPER SHOW marks the 49th time the event has been held since the first show took place in 1965. Over the years, it has consistently presented leading trends and work by some of the top creators of the times as they explored the potential of new papers. In conjunction with the TAKEO PAPER SHOW 2023 “PACKAGING—Function and Laughter,” which is being held this October for the first time in five years, this event at Yodoyabashi MIHONCHO looks back on how the TAKEO PAPER SHOW has developed over the years, seen through photographs and in other documentation and materials. It also presents a number of priceless works from archives of past shows. Direct mail and books associated with the shows are also on display.
