Papermaking techniques have been passed down through the generations since ancient times. Focusing on TAKEO’s machine-made washi paper, this show presents the charm and allure of modern-day washi paper, which takes its inspiration from the handmade washi techniques passed down by papermakers throughout Japan.

The “Washi Landscape” exhibition is being held in conjunction with TOBICHI’s “Kanda Kawaii Washi Festival,” an event celebrating the publication of the special feature “Rediscovering the joy of washi paper” in "Design no Hikidashi 43." The exhibition of the actual washi items shown in "Design no Hikidashi 43," the sale of washi accessories, and other events are planned at TOBICHI. |
