Emiko Yamamoto (President, Paper Decoration Association)
Yamamoto was born in Aichi Prefecture, and is a graduate of Nagoya University of the Arts,
where she first exhibited paper works as part of an exhibition of oil paintings by a group of friends.
These papercuttings sparked her interest in paper. After working in the planning department of a crafts manufacturer,
she began her artistic career, and has since held many exhibitions of her work.
She is currently developing multifaceted forms of expression using paper,
including her work with paper illustrations and displays, and teaches paper workshops.
