Feature in October 2017 issue of "BRAIN"
"Book Jacket: Senses" is a bi-monthly series made possible
through collaborations with creators using fine paper.
Each issue in this popular project includes a book jacket/cover
made with a different type of fine paper.
Junya Kamada of KD has been chosen for the October 2017 issue.
The paper used is IORI, a new paper in the T-EOS series.
The title of the work is “Wa-Yo.”
Straight-line graphics with the appearance of stitching are printed onto the pattern of IORI,
a paper that visually evokes natural Japanese materials.
The impression given by the graphics changes as you look more closely.
This is a design that combines elements of traditional Japanese (“Wa”) and Western (“Yo”) aesthetics.

The foil stamped in patterns and the texture of the paper combine to produce a delicate tactile experience,
born from the designer’s wishes for users to become familiar with and fond of the touch.
