Feature in October 2016 issue of "BRAIN"
"Book Jacket: Senses" is a bi-monthly series made possible
through collaborations with creators using fine paper.
Each issue in this popular project includes a book jacket/cover
made with a different type of fine paper.
Yuri Uenishi (Dentsu) has been chosen for the October 2016 issue.
The paper used is SAGAN GA, a new product added to the T-EOS series in July 2016.
The title of the work is "CLOSE-UP."
The more you read a book and and get into its content, the closer to the book you feel.
To convey that feeling, the artist enlarged the texture of SAGAN GA to create
a motif that she foil-stamped onto the cover. Different scaling is used for the motif on front and back.

The larger motif that you encounter when you read through to the end of
the book represents the new closeness that you have achieved.

To ensure that the SAGAN GA features of color and suitability for embossing stand out,
Uenishi avoided illstrations and patterns, instead simply using transparent foil to
give a strong impression of embossing without detracting from the color of the paper.
