Exhibitions | TAKEO PAPER SHOW 2004 - HAPTIC
Awakening the Senses
The term “haptic” means “relating to or pleasant to the sense of touch”.
The 2004 paper show focused on the sense of touch, making observations of our everyday surroundings.
Nevertheless, the “HAPTIC” exhibition did not take a nostalgic approach to the touch or feel of paper.
Instead, ideas were centered on the concept of haptic used in advanced technology, attempting to re-examine the attraction of paper from that perspective.

Chaotic Management
Technological progress led to suggestions of a “paperless” age, but the large number of haptic materials that stimulate our sense of touch still represent a valuable resource for creativity.
We gave thought to whether there are more effective ways to organize such material resources.
With objective observation of our working environments, we can use chaos management as a means of creatively using the accumulations of information resources.
This concept of FILING led to an exhibition of ideas for files.
